T-shirt Dress

So my daughter is obsessed with Spider-Man. She had a Spider-man themed birthday for her 4th birthday and was wanting a Spider-man dress..... well, 7 months later I FINALLY completed the Spider-man dress.
Now to be completely honest, this was a super easy project!!  I bought the t-shirt from the the little girls section in Target last fall.  I chose this shirt because it was longer and I knew it would make it easier to just add a few ruffle layers to the bottom AND because of the awesome sequins on the sleeves.  Every Spider-man dress for a 4 year old should have some sparkle on the sleeves!
I used the ruffled skirt tutorial from MADE to make the ruffle bottom and just did two ruffle layers instead of the three layers with the waistband.

I think I want to make a little Spider-man bow for her hair to go with this dress.  Hopefully I can whip that up tonight!  Happy Hump Day!

New Creations!

So, believe it or not, I'm still here and sewing!  I just don't have a lot of extra time on my hands to blog as much between two kiddos, four dogs, a cat, two fish, & four chickens, we keep fairly busy around here! I did have to share my newest creations from this past weekend.  I absolutely LOVE sewing for babies!!  I made a new creation, the "Taggy Blanket".  It turned out oh-so-cute!

The next project was a "Carseat Canopy/Tent".  I REALLY loved mine when my youngest was a baby, I used it as the canopy, a nursing cover, changing pad, blanket.... needless to say it came in handy! I made this for Kaci & Baby Bristol and just love the red/teal color combination.

My sister-in-law will be having her baby this week and I'm excited to make her one of these, so check back and I'll post what I create for her and the baby.

Hello there!  Been a while, but this "Welcome Back" banner is quite fitting for Little Freebirds and Mrs. Melin who will be hanging this banner in her 2nd grade classroom in Ashland, MT!  I can't wait to see this banner hung up in her classroom welcoming back her little 2nd graders.

Valentines Day & Customs

Guess what's just around the corner..... Valentine's Day! Here are some new banners we have to celebrate this day of LOVE. I also made a custom "Happy Valentine's Day" banner, but it went straight from the sewing machine into a box and to FedEx to be shipped to a great client from Thread in Houston.
I am in LOVE (hehe) with the font on this "Love" banner.

The "Happy Valentine's Day" banner had similar fabrics to this "Be Mine" banner.

Babies, babies everywhere! So many new babies which calls for custom banners! This is for Baby Tyson from California who just joined us on 1/1/12! What a great birthday!
I also made Baby Bentz a cowboy themed banner. I will post a pic once his momma has time to send it to me. I completely understand, she now has three boys to wrangle!

Check back with us, I'm going to make a burlap "Love" banner! Burlap is so chic right now and I'm dying to use some of my fabric! I also have a custom order for a burlap wedding banner, which I'll be starting on soon!
