Another Wedding Banner!

Thanks to my new client, Meredith, for ordering another banner from me!  This time I did a burlap "gifts" banner for the gift table.  I'm loving it, as always!

Keep watching the blog or Facebook, I have another order for a baby boy burlap banner for a baby shower and another one for the baby's nursery which I'll use some super cute fabric I have!

New Custom Bridal Banner

Last week I got an email on Facebook from a sweet young lady looking for a "Bride To Be" banner for an upcoming bridal shower she is attending in California.  She requested burlap with painted letters and I was off crafting up a new banner!  The banner is strung on thick twine rope and I added some strips of burlap, ribbon, and lace to each end.

If we end up doing another banner for the actual wedding I think I'll do the lettering a little less "blocky", but in all I love how this turned out!

Did you see my little photo bomber.....?!  That is Miss Texas and I think she fits right in with these pictures. Have a tremendous Tuesday everyone!

T-shirt Dress

So my daughter is obsessed with Spider-Man. She had a Spider-man themed birthday for her 4th birthday and was wanting a Spider-man dress..... well, 7 months later I FINALLY completed the Spider-man dress.
Now to be completely honest, this was a super easy project!!  I bought the t-shirt from the the little girls section in Target last fall.  I chose this shirt because it was longer and I knew it would make it easier to just add a few ruffle layers to the bottom AND because of the awesome sequins on the sleeves.  Every Spider-man dress for a 4 year old should have some sparkle on the sleeves!
I used the ruffled skirt tutorial from MADE to make the ruffle bottom and just did two ruffle layers instead of the three layers with the waistband.

I think I want to make a little Spider-man bow for her hair to go with this dress.  Hopefully I can whip that up tonight!  Happy Hump Day!

New Creations!

So, believe it or not, I'm still here and sewing!  I just don't have a lot of extra time on my hands to blog as much between two kiddos, four dogs, a cat, two fish, & four chickens, we keep fairly busy around here! I did have to share my newest creations from this past weekend.  I absolutely LOVE sewing for babies!!  I made a new creation, the "Taggy Blanket".  It turned out oh-so-cute!

The next project was a "Carseat Canopy/Tent".  I REALLY loved mine when my youngest was a baby, I used it as the canopy, a nursing cover, changing pad, blanket.... needless to say it came in handy! I made this for Kaci & Baby Bristol and just love the red/teal color combination.

My sister-in-law will be having her baby this week and I'm excited to make her one of these, so check back and I'll post what I create for her and the baby.

Burlap Love

I finished the burlap LOVE banner! I think next up is a burlap banner with painted lettering, to give it more of a rustic feeling.
